THE PROCESS
CREATING VISUAL STORIES IN FIVE EASY STEPS

let’s dream
Every meaningful project starts with a conversation.
Before I ever pick up the camera, I take the time to understand your vision, your goals, and the story you want your images to tell. Whether you’re a founder building your personal brand, a company refreshing your visual identity, or a publication creating an editorial feature, every detail is captured with intention.
With over a decade of experience as a women’s magazine photo editor, I approach every shoot with both a creative and strategic eye, creating imagery that feels elevated, authentic, and uniquely yours.

bring the vision to life
Once your shoot is booked, we start bringing your vision to life.
I’ll help create a collaborative shot list and timeline so every important moment, detail, and image need is thoughtfully planned before shoot day. I’ll also share my list of trusted stylists and hair and makeup artists to make the entire experience feel seamless.
Whether I’m photographing a founder in their element, a team bringing their mission to life, or a full brand campaign across multiple locations, the goal is always to create images with purpose.

we create!
This is where the magic happens.
My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and connection-driven. I’ll offer direction when needed, help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and leave space for the natural moments, thoughtful details, and personality that make your brand memorable.
The result is bright, polished imagery that feels editorial, effortless, and full of life.

choose your story
After your shoot, you’ll receive a private curated proofing gallery where you can select the images that best represent your brand.
Every final photograph is professionally retouched with my signature clean, true-to-life style, keeping you, your team, your products, and your story looking elevated while still feeling real.

share your vision
Your final gallery becomes a library of custom imagery created to grow with your brand.
From websites and social media to press features, launches, marketing materials, campaigns, and internal communications, your images are ready to help your brand show up beautifully and consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a brand photographer do?
A brand photographer helps tell your business story or support your upcoming marketing campaign through a visual library of edited images. That might founder portraits, team photos, lifestyle imagery, product photography and/or behind-the-scenes. Once I know more about the brand and business goals, I work with you to help create an image gallery that feels cohesive, intentional, and connected to the way you want people to experience your brand.
What is your creative process for a brand photoshoot?
It starts with understanding your brand, your goals, and how the images will be used. From there, I collaborate with you on the creative direction and help shape the session around the story you want to tell. During the shoot, I’ll guide you and your team at each moment! Don’t worry, no one will be wondering where to put their hands.
How do I prepare for a personal branding photoshoot?
A plan ahead of time! Having creative direction, a board with poses and ideas, and an overall vision for the brand photoshoot is important to help me deliver on your needs. We get this sorted out ahead of time, so that on the day of the photoshoot, you’re only focusing on yourself, your hair and makeup, and any outfit or product swaps needed.
The goal is to create a collection that feels like you and gives you plenty of variety for your website, social media, press, and marketing.
Can a brand photoshoot include both corporate headshots and lifestyle portrait images?
Yes! I have many clients who need individual corporate headshots for each team member and their ‘about page’, but also want to have photos of them at work with their people to use across their website and social media. We normally will organize our time to get headshots completed in one nice sequence and then take the ‘at work’ kind of lifestyle shots needed for your brand vision.
What to wear for professional headshots as a female?
There’s a few rules of thumb: nothing too busy…as in no giant prints. No stripes. They can look distorted on camera. And lastly, classic and timeless styles. Remember when pleather neon was trendy for like 10 seconds? Avoid that.
If you’re wanting help with style or what to wear for your photoshoot, I do highly recommend working with a stylist. Locally, I recommend The New York Stylist. You can even book a color analysis session with them to help you choose wardrobe pieces that best complement your complexion.
How are the images delivered?
You will receive a digital password-protected proofing gallery one week after your session. You can make your selections from there. Then, we send your images for retouching. They will be delivered in a final gallery link for you to download and use.
How do I book a photoshoot?
Contact me to set up a consultation! We’ll get to know each other while discussing what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and check on availability. I recommend booking three months out—especially for newborn sessions.
