THE PROCESS

CREATING VISUAL STORIES IN FIVE EASY STEPS

let’s dream

Every meaningful project starts with a conversation.

Before I ever pick up the camera, I take the time to understand your vision, your goals, and the story you want your images to tell. Whether you’re a founder building your personal brand, a company refreshing your visual identity, or a publication creating an editorial feature, every detail is captured with intention.

With over a decade of experience as a women’s magazine photo editor, I approach every shoot with both a creative and strategic eye, creating imagery that feels elevated, authentic, and uniquely yours.

02
bring the vision to life

Once your shoot is booked, we start bringing your vision to life.

I’ll help create a collaborative shot list and timeline so every important moment, detail, and image need is thoughtfully planned before shoot day. I’ll also share my list of trusted stylists and hair and makeup artists to make the entire experience feel seamless.

Whether I’m photographing a founder in their element, a team bringing their mission to life, or a full brand campaign across multiple locations, the goal is always to create images with purpose.

03
we create!

This is where the magic happens.

My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and connection-driven. I’ll offer direction when needed, help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and leave space for the natural moments, thoughtful details, and personality that make your brand memorable.

The result is bright, polished imagery that feels editorial, effortless, and full of life.

04
choose your story

After your shoot, you’ll receive a private curated proofing gallery where you can select the images that best represent your brand.

Every final photograph is professionally retouched with my signature clean, true-to-life style, keeping you, your team, your products, and your story looking elevated while still feeling real.

05
share your vision

Your final gallery becomes a library of custom imagery created to grow with your brand.

From websites and social media to press features, launches, marketing materials, campaigns, and internal communications, your images are ready to help your brand show up beautifully and consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Contact me to set up a consultation! We’ll get to know each other while discussing what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and check on availability. I recommend booking three months out—especially for newborn sessions.

I recommend booking your shoot at least 3 months in advance. Last minute shoots do come available, but planning ahead is the best way to guarantee your spot!

The most successful family photoshoots are the ones that are coordinated in some way, whether that’s by color, pattern, or theme. Neutral and light colors photograph best, so please avoid bright and very dark colors. Lay outfits out on your bed to make sure everything works together before the photo shoot. Feel free to snap a pic and send it to me if you need any help choosing! We’ll send you a fashion guide about a month before your session that is created exclusively for MRP clients by a top fashion stylist.

You’ll receive a private proofing gallery with your image options 1 week after the photoshoot. You’ll have 8 days to create your favorites list of images and send it back to me. Everything is seamlessly done online!

Unlike most photographers, I give you the option to choose the images you want retouched for your final images from your proofing gallery by creating a digital favorites list. You can always order additional images after reviewing your gallery.

After I receive your favorites list, I’ll send your photos out to a professional retoucher. Things like scratches, bumps and bruises, food, dry skin, and stains will all be removed. Light skin and body smoothing will be done, so please don’t worry about those little details during our session. I like to think of retouching as giving the images some polish-you don’t need much, but a little sparkle goes a long way!

Once your retouched images are ready, you will receive a final private gallery where you can download your images, share with family and friends, and buy prints. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to download all of the proofing gallery images as keepsakes.
